Demonstrated positive track record as an Account Engineer (Loss Control Director) or in the former position of Director Inspection Services Commercial Risk (DISCR). Develop and lead engineering initiatives, projects, and personnel. Promotes the business by participating in CAD strategic planning to include marketing, new business generation and developing risk control standards.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Insurance or business related major and/or equivalent work experience

Desired:

  • 5+ years’ experience in large account management, loss control/underwriting support or equipment breakdown field engineering.

  • Insurance designations (CPCU, ARM, etc.) and/or Specialty designation in an industry or equipment area (P.E.)

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Organizational skills

  • Presentation skills

  • Knowledge of equipment and risk exposures

  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Expected regional travel

  • Ability to perform required field inspections in industrial locations which may include extensive walking and the ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, & stairs.

  • Technical expertise in specific industry
